Welcome to another Sound Business Services’ (SBS) client profile. We recently interviewed Ken Peck, president of Smart 3rd Party in Norcross, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta. Here is what he had to say about the driving force behind the company, what sets it apart and what he gets out of the SBS relationship.
Jonathan Bill: Tell our readers what Smart 3rd Party is all about.
Ken Peck: We are a third-party maintenance company for IT hardware. We provide an alternative to the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) maintenance in three areas – servers, storage and networking. This is an alternative to companies such as Dell, IBM, HP, EMC, NetApp and Cisco.
JB: Tell us about the driving force behind why you started the company.
KP: I started the company because it beats working for another organization, and felt we could deliver a better service at a better price.
JB: What sets you apart from the competition?
KP: We are committed to being a low price leader in our space, while delivering great value. We are following an Amazon approach to business.
JB: When did you first engage SBS? Why did you reach out to us?
KP: We needed QuickBooks reconciliation about four years ago.
JB: What services does SBS currently provide to your company?
KP: QuickBooks reconciliation and support.
JB: Please explain the difference that SBS has made in your company.
KP: The difference is SBS frees up time and saves us money by not having to hire a full-time person. SBS delivers value at a fair price and great customer service when questions arise.
JB: Thanks Ken!
